Rehat Maryada means a code of Sikh conduct and convention. The term can describe rules of practice, and “Sikh Rehat Maryada” is also the title of the code published by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). When quoting a particular rule, name the edition or source rather than assuming every community follows identical local practice.
